Before & After :: Five Steps To Creating Your Own Chateau Moment At Home

In the last year and a half, if I think we have all learned one thing, it is the importance of creating spaces in our homes that support us in different ways. From opening a corner for productivity, to finding a place where you can unwind and relax at the end of the day ... The value of both is immeasurable! Today I work with Chateau Ste. Michelle gives you some quick tips on how to create your own "castle" moments for the latter, so to speak. A place where you can escape with your favorite wine (it goes without saying that my favorite Chateau Saint-Michel so far is their rosé wine!). When I think of building my own castle, I think of the perfect combination of leisure and exquisiteness. Imagine how you feel on vacation... Wouldn't it be great if there is a place in your house where you can reproduce the same experience! ? In order to mimic this emotion, I used some key elements to set the space or form. Are you ready to see how? I used a corner of the studio to put these steps into practice to demonstrate how to quickly convert and transfer layers and add details. Comfort is the key: Don't use "boring" things to guide, but sometimes practicality is the most important factor when designing a space. If you want to relax, you must create something comfortable! If you have a hard chair, add a cushion! If your escape corner is a corner on the floor, please add a cushion! If you want to take a bubble bath... yes, add a cushion! Whatever you do, be sure to prepare your space for successful rest. This is a professional tip from my apartment life: I like to have a perfect pair of chairs or benches in the corner of the living room or dining room. He moves them according to the guests or how he uses the space. In our studio, we do the same by investing in multi-functional works that can work around the table just like in dialogue design. Here, I took an empty bench we already had, added pillows to soften it and gave it a backrest, and moved a few chairs to complete the scene. Bedding layer: Whenever a client tells me that their room does not feel "finished", it is usually because of the lack of some layering elements. Bedding is a game changer. Here, covering the modern marble dining table with linen tablecloths completely changes the space and mood (what does the holiday show more than beautiful casual linen!?). But when I say linen here, I also mean it in the broadest sense: actually any fabric or textile. Carpets, pillows, summer blankets, curtains...all these elements are regarded as the types of clothing that enhance and decorate any room. When you consider ways to update your space, bedding is a good starting point. Kinds of Herb Flowers and Natural Elements: Whether your style is a plant jungle or a single potted flower, bringing natural elements into the space is essential to creating a grounding moment. If you don't have a green thumb, I suggest you look for some flowers in the garden or grocery store, not fake plants. Or you can try growing tropical and succulent plants that require less maintenance. Here, potted geraniums can be put on the dining room table! I like the movement of this plant, it smells great too! Add personal style: In terms of decor or style, the last piece of the puzzle is the part that is often overlooked or people have the most difficulty - it presents your personality. This item usually takes time to plan, because it needs to be a job that reflects you! It can be a work of art to talk to, a souvenir to take home from a trip, or an interesting ancient find. In this space, the finishing touch really comes from a set of vintage art prints hanging on the wall. The comfort element is already there, and the next step is to add layers of linen to add nature! I found some dogwoods from my own tree and made a hearty core. I keep it organic by letting the branch create its own wild movement. Then we add the final personal decorations-my favorite golden tableware with a very special feeling, genuine printed napkins from India, antique candied bowls from Italy as snacks, and vintage vases are all from my personal collection. Now we are ready for the final step... Chapter When you are drinking! Now that you have created a relaxing resting place for yourself or your friends, it's time to enjoy it! Have a drink of the extraordinary value of Chateau Ste. Michelle. Come to her favorite grape variety and enjoy this moment! ! Although these tips are a good start in the moment to start creating your own castle at home, we have something better for you. From now to August, we are working with Chateau Ste. Michelle to give you a chance to win the mood panel, which contains the style tips I provided. You can buy these tips to make a small renovation for a corner of your home!
