Villa Mayan

Villa Maya is located on the outskirts of Mashhad, the third summer tourist town with a history of 1800 years. A land with an area of 265 square meters and a width of 9 meters, located on a steep rocky terrain, is characterized by the original landscape and its connection with the environment. Therefore, establishing a harmonious relationship between the volume and the surroundings and making the slightest changes in the natural historical shape of the surroundings is the most important idea of the design team's project. In this sense, the investigation and the complete identification of the indigenous model, from the texture of the historical village to the ecology of the natural environment, helped a lot in the formation of the project concept. Due to the limited land area, rugged terrain, and summer weather in this area, section design is the main process for forming the basis of the relationship between context and volume and solving your problems. Only the two volumes (the entrance volume to the parking lot and the residential volume) are placed on two different levels, and the relationship between them is established through the green space and the roof garden, and the program, the landscape and the open space of the Response project are adequately proposed. Porch plays a key role in reducing volume, strengthening its relationship with the surroundings by providing sufficient visibility and sunlight. The expanse of the green courtyard forms a relatively deep porch, which defines the covered living space and the relative privacy of the pool side. In addition, to provide adequate privacy, the first floor patio uses an opening and closing structure covered with plants native to the area, called "Arqavan", which is "one of the handicrafts" in Mashha, Torqabeh. From. It is worth mentioning that the shadow caused by the roof and the pool water, located in the area in the direction of the valley breeze, formed a chimney phenomenon, which has a great impact on reducing energy consumption. It is by opening the ceiling Floor to ceiling windows, the energy consumption on the ground floor is close to zero. Based on the natural history data of the architectural pattern and context, the outer wall of the project is made of local natural straw, with a little iron and brick soil, and the homogeneity of the context gives the region meaning and smell, and through simplicity The wood and original details add a special intimacy to the facade. The details of the wall lamp and lighting decoration are realized with local details and handicrafts of the region.
